Woman dies after Alloa blaze

A woman has died after a house fire in Alloa.

Emergency services were called to Primrose Street at around 5am yesterday morning.

Police are asking residents to avoid the area.

The death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Detective Inspector Graeme Connolly said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this time.

“We are continuing to coordinate with partners in response to the fire and a joint investigation with SFRS to establish the full circumstances will be carried out in due course.”
